Dr. Mahmood AlSaeed serves as the Director of Patient & Family Experience at Amana Healthcare Bahrain, bringing more than 15 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Bahrain. With deep expertise in geriatric medicine, person-centered care, and holistic models of support for older adults, he plays a pivotal role in shaping compassionate, family-focused care experiences. His work directly supports Bahrain’s Vision 2030 goals by enhancing care quality, improving patient satisfaction, and strengthening the integration of long-term and rehabilitative services within the national healthcare continuum.
Dr. AlSaeed’s career spans senior clinical and leadership roles in government hospitals, where he founded multiple geriatric and rehabilitation services and served as Chairman of the Geriatric Medicine Unit. Prior to joining Amana Healthcare Bahrain, he was the Medical Director of the Muharraq Special Healthcare Centre, overseeing specialized services for complex and long-term care patients. He has also contributed to national healthcare development as a member of the National Medical Commission and the National Committee for Older Persons. Alongside his clinical leadership, he has extensive academic experience and serves as an Assistant Professor at the Arabian Gulf University.
Dr. AlSaeed completed his medical degree in Ireland and trained in geriatric medicine. He holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians (UK), a Diploma in Cerebrovascular and Stroke Medicine, and a Diploma in Clinical Research. At Amana Healthcare Bahrain, he draws on his clinical expertise and long-standing commitment to dignified, patient-centered care to lead the Patient & Family Experience function, ensuring compassionate, integrated support that enhances the wellbeing and satisfaction of patients and their loved ones.
