Dr. Alaa Hassan serves as the Therapy Lead at Amana Healthcare Bahrain, overseeing all therapy and rehabilitation services to ensure patients receive world-class, goal-oriented care that supports functional recovery and independence. With extensive expertise in neurological rehabilitation, she plays a central role in shaping Amana’s multidisciplinary rehabilitation model - advancing patient outcomes and supporting Bahrain’s Vision 2030 commitment to expanding access to high-quality, specialized rehabilitative care.
Dr. Hassan brings 17 years of clinical experience from the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Hospital, where she worked across inpatient and outpatient neurological rehabilitation services. She has also contributed to organizational quality improvement as a Quality Management Coordinator, publishing clinical indicator reports and supporting risk management programs. In addition to her clinical leadership, she has served as a part-time lecturer in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Bahrain, helping train the next generation of rehabilitation professionals. Her excellence in the field has been recognized through the prestigious Marjorie Ionata Award for Clinical Excellence in Massachusetts, USA.
Dr. Hassan holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Master of Science degree from the United States, specializing in neurological rehabilitation.
